Foreign National Visitors

An "export" is defined as the release of controlled technology to a foreign national.

"Release" is defined as: Visual inspection by foreign nationals Oral exchanges of information in the United States or abroad The application to situations abroad of personal knowledge or technical experience acquired in the United States

Technology is defined as specific information necessary for the "development [3]," "production [4]," or "use [5]" of a product. The information takes the form of "technical data [6]" or "technical assistance [6]."
