     Misconduct in research is defined as fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism. These and other practices that seriously deviate from those that are commonly accepted within the research community for proposing, conducting, or reporting research are covered by the Duke University Policy and Procedures Governing Misconduct in Research Appendix P.Please note that “misconduct,” for these purposes, does not include honest error or honest differences in interpretations or judgments of data.
