If a protocol is deferred, a revised protocol that addresses the concerns of the IRB must be submitted for review at a subsequent IRB meeting.  The requirement that a protocol must be submitted two weeks prior to an IRB meeting is waived so that, if the researcher wishes, the revised protocol can be reviewed at the next bi-monthly meeting of the IRB.
